The lecture will analyse and criticise recent developments in the law of apparent bias and conflicts of interest in England and Singapore, and its application in the fields of international commercial and Investor- State arbitration. Comparisons will be drawn between the treatment of this topic as between court and arbitration, and as between conventional law and soft law.
