Event Outline

This seminar deals with the recent developments of the law of trust in Japan and South Korea. We will first introduce on some of the major types of trust used in the markets of these jurisdictions and the reason for its attractiveness. However, the Janus-faced nature of trust mechanisms also serve to tempt some users to exploit the trust towards undesirable objectives. The seminar will also explore some of these examples commonly encountered in these Northeast Asian civil jurisdictions.
