March 2020 marks the 10th anniversary of the Mental Capacity Act coming into force. The MCA was a revolutionary piece of legislation, transforming the law relating to mental capacity (or more accurately, mental incapacity), eliminating many problem areas for lawyers (and the lay population), but over time, new difficult ones have also emerged as a result of the MCA.
