Event Outline
The general topics that will be covered include: the common law action in passing off; geographical indications; protection of well-known marks; registration and protection of marks under the Trade Marks Act 1998; infringement, defences and exploitations. The international dimensions of trademark law will also be touched on, as well as an introduction to trade mark law and unfair competition systems in Europe and the US.
