Event Outline

Dr Tay will discuss the journey of IP protection in Malaysia, focusing on the major contributions that have played an instrumental role in defining the scope of this area of law. In particular, Dr. Tay will discuss how Malaysian IP law has progressed through the years as a result of various internal and external forces. These forces include the ASEAN IP cooperation initiatives, which are targeted, inter alia, to harmonize the regional protection of IP in ASEAN countries.
