Event Outline

This course aims to study recent developments in trade finance across a range of Common Law jurisdictions, identifying future judicial, policy and regulatory trends. The focus will be on letters of credit (LC), but cognate instruments will be analysed when instructive. Recent developments concerning the formation, interpretation and vitiation of LC, as well future trends in the key areas of strict compliance, credit autonomy (including relevant exceptions) and enforcement will be examined.
