Few areas of society are unaffected by the emergence of advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning. These varied and diverse interactions between technology and society raise new and exciting legal questions and ethical concerns. These concerns not only touch upon the application of law— for example, in criminal law, privacy, torts and insurance— but relate even to the day-to-day practice of law itself, forcing us to rethink both foundational concepts of law.
