This seminar focuses on the key changes following the amendment of the Evidence Act and Criminal Procedure Code in March 2018. First, video-recording of interviews of police statements; second, a panel of expert psychiatric witnesses for criminal proceedings; third, enhancing protections for vulnerable witnesses; fourth, strengthening the community sentencing framework; and finally, deferred prosecution agreements.
