Trusts law has a formidable presence in Asia-Pacific. However, little is known about its use & development. Drawing on the Asia-Pacific Trusts Law project and book series, this seminar will reflect on some unique lessons that the region can offer to trusts law scholarship & practice. They include reflections on: the state of trusts law in the region; the nature of the trust & its effect on transplantation; the functions of the trust; constructive trusts; & choice of law rules for trusts.
