This event is organised by Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration. Maritime arbitration is often seen as cheaper and more flexible than litigation, but unexpected issues can add cost and delay. Without a clear procedural code, disputes over jurisdiction, submissions, or disclosure may arise, sometimes exploited by reluctant respondents. This workshop will review each stage of a shipping arbitration, from appointment to award, highlighting common pitfalls and practical solutions, including updates under the Arbitration Act 2025.
