Event Outline

This event is organised by Sage Mediation Institute for Leadership Education. In assessing the professionalism of a mediator, one measure has been his neutrality. A mediator who shows bias towards or against one party may be viewed to be in breach of ethical codes. Yet, an alternative view suggests that effective mediators are those who are genuine and empathise with the disputants. This seminar sees distinguished experts from different jurisdictions and fields examine whether and how mediators can be authentic and still maintain parties’ confidence in their impartiality.
