Event Outline

The restructuring of financially distressed multinational firms is often costly and inefficient because insolvency proceedings must be coordinated across jurisdictions. Weak coordination between domestic and foreign courts increases legal uncertainty and hampers effective restructuring. The lecture examines how reducing legal uncertainty in global insolvency affects cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and financing.
