Event Outline

This event is organised by NUS Centre for International Law. It examines India’s evolving international investment agreements (IIAs) landscape through the lens of legalization and judicialization. Professor Prabhash Ranjan will discuss India’s shift from “pro-investor” treaties to a more cautious “pro-state” model, the limited uptake of its 2016 Model BIT, and the implications for investor-state dispute settlement and cross-border investments. The seminar will conclude with a moderated discussion and Q&A.
