This event is organised by NUS Centre for International Law. Many key sources of international humanitarian law (IHL), including the Geneva Conventions and CCW, were developed in a different technological era. This seminar examines how emerging technologies such as AI, autonomous systems, and cyber capabilities are reshaping warfare and challenging existing legal frameworks. It will explore evolving State practice, governance efforts, key legal issues, and the implications of addressing new technologies through separate international processes.
