Event Outline

This event is organised by National University of Singapore - Centre for International Law. What happens when an adversary corrupts the data that AI systems rely on? As militaries use AI for intelligence, targeting and operations, data poisoning could disrupt decisions without physical force. This CIL panel examines when such interference might breach international law, including rules on intervention, use of force, deception, perfidy and attacks during armed conflict. Experts will discuss how existing legal rules apply when data becomes both a weapon and a vulnerability.
