Event Outline

“Coded power” is control over the formal systems that organise society, through law or digital code. While such power can serve its creators’ interests, digital code and data control can fragment societies and weaken social cohesion. Digital despotism is not inevitable: participatory, shared data governance can give people collective control over how their data is accessed and used.
